Medigold Live Webinar – Making fit notes more fit for purpose?

On 1 July 2022, new legislation came into force allowing more healthcare
professionals to legally issue and certify fit notes.
The changes, which were laid out by the government last month, mean that
employees will no longer be restricted to requesting fit notes from their
doctor and will now be able to obtain these, where appropriate, from their
nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist or pharmacist instead.
While the move has been generally welcomed, including by Medigold Health,
and will hopefully bring many benefits for both patients and employers, we
understand that it has also thrown up a number of questions.
